LAUNCHPOINT GUIDE
Boat ramp data & sources
How Launchpoint Guide imports, attributes and dates official Florida and South Carolina boat ramp records.
Facility information comes from the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission / Fish and Wildlife Research Institute Florida Boat Ramp Inventory. Each listing links to its individual source record.
South Carolina expansion
Our South Carolina coverage starts with Anderson County. Source: SCDNR Public Water Access, supplied as-is without an accuracy or fitness warranty. Locations are not necessarily owned or maintained by SCDNR. Unknown hours, fees and trailer-space counts remain unknown. Individual source-update dates are not supplied; dataset edit and import dates are shown separately. Raw source records and publisher reuse terms are preserved privately.
Attribution and reuse
Source: FWC / FWRI, Florida Boat Ramp Inventory. See publisher metadata and use limitations. Data are used under the publisher’s stated terms for derived products with attribution. The source is not suitable for navigation. We preserve source metadata and raw records separately from the public presentation.
What the dates mean
The source-updated date is the timestamp supplied on that record. The import date is when we fetched it. Neither is an on-site inspection by Launchpoint Guide. Old records may remain in the source, including closed or private launches.
Unknowns and coverage
A missing hours, fee, or amenity value is shown as “Not recorded.” A recorded fee flag does not establish a current price. Public access is shown only when the source supplies it. Private or closed records are labeled so their presence does not imply permission to launch.
Unnamed records and records with unusable identifiers, locations, or coordinates are withheld from public listing routes. Related records are selected by straight-line proximity, not road or boat travel time.
Freshness and corrections
Weekly cloud checks monitor the Florida source. Coverage expansion and new guides follow separate source and publication checks. Records remain inventory snapshots, not live closure reports; import and source timestamps are not on-site inspections. We never label records verified without evidence.
Confirm current access with the operator, especially after storms. Use the correction process when a detail appears wrong.
